Feasibility Study Committee

Rev. Joe Clark reported that the Feasibility Study Committee met for 1-½ days to review three proposals for the National Association Pre-campaign Study.  The proposal selected by committee members is RSI.  Reasons:

  1. National organization (other proposals were from local organizations)
  2. Exceptional expertise
  3. Company run by clergy

Motion:  The Feasibility Study Committee moved that the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches contract with RSI to do the Pre-Campaign Study mid January to mid April 2006.  Cost not to exceed $64,000.

VOTE: Motion adopted

The current Feasibility Study Committee will remain as a committee subject to call.

Carrie Dahm will be asked to send the RSI proposal to those unable to attend the October EC meeting: Anne Butman, Lottie Jones Hood and Bet Godard

Capital Campaign

After pre-campaign study is complete we would sign another contract with a consultant to run the actual Capital Campaign.  Five to ten per cent of dollars raised in the campaign will go to campaign expenses (including consultant doing campaign).

The NA would own the pre-campaign information even if we decide not to use RSI for Capital Campaign.

Adjournment

Bonn Clayton moved to adjourn the conference call at 3:25 p.m.  Second by Wendy Van Tassel.

VOTE: Motion approved

Recorder:  Sue Carter, Secretary
